Bursary Information

Why apply for the 16–19 Bursary?

The 16–19 Bursary is designed to support students who need financial help to stay in education. To be eligible, your household’s annual income must be less than £30,000.

If you're facing challenges with the cost of travel, equipment, meals, or other essentials, the bursary can make a real difference.

All bursary payments and reimbursements are made directly into your own bank account.

As part of the bursary offer:

  • Canteen credits will automatically be added for all successful applicants.
  • Stationery items will be available free of charge from the Pastoral Office.
  • Transport packages can be offered, either fully or partially funded, based on individual needs.
  • You can also claim for other items that help you stay in education — these are assessed on a case-by-case basis.

It’s not a loan — you don’t have to pay it back — and applying is simple. Don’t let money be a barrier to your success. If you think you might be eligible, apply now and get the support you deserve.

How to apply:

  • Register for a bursary account.
  • Apply using the account and upload evidence of household income.
  • Once approved, you can either:
  • Submit claims for items you want to purchase in advance, or
  • Submit reimbursement claims for things you’ve already paid for.
