We’re so excited to have you join our Sixth Form community! This page has everything you need to get ready for an amazing start in September.

If you’d like to revisit your course choices or get a feel for Sixth Form life. 


Key Dates – What’s Coming Up? 

August 

  • 21st August (GCSE Results Day) 

  • Internal students: enrol from 8:30am 

  • External students: welcome from 9:30am 

You can also enrol from 24th – 1st September between 10 and 2pm in the sixth form centre. Places can go early so please enrol as soon as you can! 

September 

  • 2nd September – Your exciting first day as a Sixth Form student! 

Enrolment Info – What You Need to Do 

To officially become a St Wilfrid’s Sixth Former, you need to complete your enrolment. This includes confirming your subject choices and handing in your paperwork. 

On GCSE Results Day (21st August 2025): 

  1. Pick up your results from your current school. 
  2. Come and see us to enrol—don’t forget your grades! 
  3. Can’t make it? A friend or family member can enrol for you with written permission. 

Where and When to Enrol: 

  • 21st August: 

    • Internal students: 8:30am–3:30pm 

    • External students: 9:30am–3:30pm 

    • Location: E Block Hall

  • 22nd August: 

    • Time: 10am–2pm 

    • Location: Sixth Form Centre 

  • After 22nd August: 

    • Enrol online by booking an appointment with our team 


What Else Do I Need to Know? 

Sixth Form Bursary 

Need help with the cost of books, meals or transport?

Apply for the 16–19 Bursary at enrolment or download the form at the bottom of this page. 

Uniform – Tie & Lanyard 

  • Check out our Sixth Form dress code (downloadable below). 

  • Ties and lanyards cost £10—pay through ParentPay by 5th September. 

  • You’ll receive these on your first day after having your ID photo taken. 

First Day – 2nd September 2025 

  • Meet your Form Tutor and new classmates 

  • Take part in fun team-building activities 

  • Receive your timetable 

  • Get your ID badge 

  • Start your first lessons in the afternoon 

  • Begin your “Passport to Study” programme (a great way to build study skills and explore careers)
